Completing a report for an exercise or real world event does not have to be a daunting task. Accurately documenting incidents and exercises allows stakeholders and participants to actively engage in an improvement process. Ohio EMA has created two After Action Report/Improvement Plan (AAR/IP) documents:
Both templates utilize the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) format to make a simple yet effective way to document outcomes and set up a plan for addressing identified gaps.
If you have any questions about either of these documents please contact Gary Lehman, Exercise Coordinator, at gdlehman@dps.ohio.gov.
