The Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) is made available to states via the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The purpose of the NSGP is to provide federal funds to states to assist nonprofit organizations that are at high risk of a terrorist attack through support for eligible physical security enhancements and other security activities.
The FY2021 NSGP Application Period Is Now OPEN
Applications are due no later than 4 pm on April 19, 2021
For FY2021 NSGP, FEMA has awarded $2.4 million to the state of Ohio. This award is managed by Ohio EMA as the State Administrative Agency (SAA). Eligible organizations within Ohio will submit applications to Ohio EMA in accordance with the application instructions detailed below. Ohio EMA will review eligible applications and make recommendations for funding to the FEMA Grant Programs Directorate. FEMA makes final award decisions, which it announces in the July-August timeframe.
