Ohio EMA Continues Monitoring, Assessment With County Officials As Floodwaters Begin To Recede Across Eastern, Southern Ohio
The Ohio Emergency Management Agency is continuing monitoring and assessment of flooding across the state, as many streams and rivers begin to recede across the eastern and southern portion of Ohio.

When the outdoor warning sirens sound, do you know what to do? When you hear the wail of the warning sirens, it means that severe, life-threatening storms, such as tornadoes, have been spotted in your area. Seek immediate shelter.

Flood Safety Awareness Week: March 17-21
Natural hazards such as tornadoes and flooding are incidents that typically occur during the spring and summer. But as the Midwestern and Southern states have experienced at the beginning of this year, severe thunderstorms, tornadoes and massive flooding can happen at any time, any season.

State Officials Continue Assessment Efforts As Ohio
The Ohio Emergency Management Agency is continuing monitoring and assessment of statewide recovery activities as Ohioans dig out from a major winter storm that dumped more than a foot of snow on many areas of the state during the past 48 hours. As of 9 a.m. this morning, local sheriffs’ departments reported Level Three snow emergencies in six counties, Level Two snow emergencies in 43 counties and Level One snow emergencies in 11 counties.
Ohio EMA coordinates activities to mitigate, prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters, both natural and man-made.
