Russell Decker, Deputy Director
To assist in the state’s efforts to improve response capabilities to serve the citizens of Ohio, local EMAs and first responders, Ohio EMA initiated five Regional Field Offices in June 2015. Each manned with regional supervisors and emergency management specialists, regional offices are located in Butler, Cuyahoga, Franklin, Hancock and Jackson counties.
The intent of the regional offices and personnel is to improve efficiency and speed up response time and assistance to every area of the state when disaster strikes. Regional field personnel are available 24 hours a day to assist county emergency management directors in the response to, preparation for, recovery from, and mitigation against all potential hazards and risks threatening the state.
